Proudly serving our Veterans and our community

Our History

Since our charter in 1983, our American Legion Post 647 has been welcoming Veterans from all branches of our Armed Forces. Today, we continue to welcome all military personnel serving our country.

Our Mission Statement

The American Legion strengthens our communities, states and nation with programs and services for our veterans, the military and their families.

Our Veterans Memorial Building is a Historical Monument

The Spanish Colonial Revival building was designed by Meyers as one of a series of ten East Bay buildings that honor the sacrifices of military veterans. Andrew T. Hass designed the expansion completed in 1949. The building serves the community and veterans from posts of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion.
